Alasdair started training in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu from the very first Gracie Combatives class offered by Tri-Cities Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in 2021 and couldn't stay away after that. Under the tutelage and guidance of Head Instructor Ray, Alasdair achieved his Blue Belt in 2022, and subsequently decided to further his engagement in jiu-jitsu and Tri-Cities Gracie Jiu-Jitsu by first becoming a Student Community Coordinator at the school, before completing the Instructor Ceritfication Program in July 2023. Since then he has continued in both roles.
If he's not on the mats teaching Gracie Combatives, you'll find Alasdair at the front desk, ready to help students, parents and visitors to the school in both roles.
With a prior background in Policing in the UK and Healthcare Security after immigrating to Canada, he is passionate about empowering people with the skills to defend themselves using Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Alasdair also holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate.

July 2024 - Instructor Certification awarded by Ryron and Rener Gracie.
